In 2026, we will be hosting two Surfers Healing events in Aotearoa:

• Waipū Cove – Friday, 21 February 2025


• Mount Maunganui – Friday, 21 March 2025


  To ensure a smooth, inclusive, and well-organised experience for all participants, the day is carefully structured into scheduled group sessions. Each registered child is assigned a group number and time slot prior to the event. This system allows us to provide each child with dedicated time in the water with one of our experienced surfers, ensuring they receive individual attention without the stress of long wait times or large crowds.

  The event begins at 8:30am with a Karakia led by a local Kaumātua, Surfing sessions commence shortly after, with the first group entering the water at 9:00am. Subsequent groups are scheduled to arrive on the hour, every hour throughout the day, creating a steady, manageable flow that keeps the beach calm and the experience enjoyable for everyone involved.

  In the event that we have over 150 children registered, the event will be extended over two consecutive days to ensure that each tamariki has the opportunity for meaningful time in the water and that we can maintain the high standard of safety, care, and attention that Surfers Healing is known for.
